Idalia was a category 3 hurricane when it made landfall 20 miles south of Perry, FL. It caused major storm surge to the entire Nature Coast of Florida.

Damages: The record 6.9 ft storm surge flooded the entire first floor at an estimated 4ft throughout the entire building. The entire 83 West dining deck was destroyed, and over $100,000 in other damages. The building is unable to be insured for flood and windstorm insurance, so all of the repairs, rebuilding, and cleanup are all based on donations and volunteers.
